From the Office... WOW! We did it!! We made it through some exciting events and Community Service Projects with flying colors and with much positive feedback. I thank all the Moose Volun-teers that did their part toward the success of Proctor Moose Lodge 1302. Without you we could not complete our mission. Change is a difficult process! Together we can make the improvements needed to keep the Lodge active and alive as a “FRATERNAL” organization. Please do not forget the real purpose of being a Moose member. The children at Mooseheart and the elderly members at Moosehaven still need our support. We can accomplish both our support to Moose Charities as well as our community service events if we remember one thing (CHARITY) Lets have fun in all we do! We do want to apologize for the New Years Prime Rib Dinner being canceled. After much thought and dis-cussion we came to the realization that we could have pulled this off as well. It will return next New Year! Look at our calendar of events. There are many exciting events scheduled. Come to the lodge and be a part of the fun and camaraderie. There are so many things to talk about. Upcoming items include Volunteer food service training for every-one that works in the kitchen ( this is a health issue ). I am asking all of our members clean up after themselves and return what they use back to the spot where they got it from, after each event. It is very time consuming to put these items away each day!! I am asking this because it makes our lodge look trashy with all the stuff sit-ting around!!! Please help keep our Lodge clean! As administrator, I would like to let our members know that we are trying our hardest to keep our prices as low as possible. But, I also need to inform you that from the business side that this will not keep our lodge doors open. We will eventually be forced to raise some prices due to cost increases across the board. Income must be equal or better than the bills. With that said, we are looking at alternative ways to raise revenue for the lodge. The biggest thing you can do as a member is to support the lodge events that are scheduled and utilize the lodge building. The more the merrier! I just hate to see an empty room, all this means is we are losing money paying for heat and air conditioning. HOT TOPIC!! Any and all recommendations for changes to the lodge building need a written pro-posal along with a cost estimate, if possible, submitted to the board of Officers prior to purchasing or making any promise to purchase. All lodge expenditures must be reviewed and recommended by the board of officers and then approved by the lodge membership by vote at a membership meeting. No one member can allocate lodge funds on his own. New Moose Money is available for purchase. Buy them for birthdays or other special events. $5.00 and $1.00 denominations. They can be used for any food or beverage purchase in Proctor Lodge 1302 only. Together we are “THE FRIENDLIEST LODGE AROUND”! Troy Magnuson / Administrator
